Dammit, I knew I was going to get called out on that 'more than a few' thing. The only names I can remember off the top of my head are splix and hominysnark from Star Wars fandom, then there were a couple of ladys in the Wraeththu fandom who actually got their fanwork published. I know there are more out there trying to get published, and I wish them all luck b/c my mom went through that and had a very tough time.
